#1 Pursue Passion
To some this may seem like an understatement or an irrelevant perspective. But, let’s face it, what is the difference between being told to do something and pursuing something passionately? The difference is the existence of passion and dedication! A person being told to do something will only achieve as much as he is told to do, nothing more, nothing less. An individual pursuing their passion has no bounds or limits to the assignment of what they can aspire to achieve. The dedicated individual will always be much more successful both financially and professionally, compared to the person following a career simply because it is financially viable or because this was the only job available.
It is always prudent to ask children what their interests and inclinations are to find out what career will be best suited to a certain child. This will automatically take into consideration the fact that some children are aggressive and some children are soft hearted by birth. Some careers require certain personalities, such as being a jet-fighter pilot may not be a profession for the faint hearted but for a person who is a better morning person. Consequently, no one would appreciate an aggressive nurse.

#2 Utilize Unique Skills & Capabilities
Each child possesses some unique skills by birth. Would be parents may not be able understand this at this point, but existing parents will be able to comprehend that some children are born with a distinct flair. For example, some children are good looking, while some may lack the looks but may be more socially resourceful and more popular. It is important to ask a child what he or she enjoys.
According to a known UK company MHR Writer’s assignment experts, some children enjoy Arts class very much, while others look forward to their custom college papers writing for Maths class. If children enjoy a certain type of activity, chances are there are occupations pertaining to that specific activity. For example, some children may be smarter at judging other people’s lies using their effective creativity, might turn out to be good psychologists.

#3 Contemplating Goals
No matter what skills children possess, it is always important for them to work towards achieving set goals. Ask them to find a comfortable place all by themselves, with no distractions such as a library, and give them the assignment to:
Start writing a numbered list of what they want to achieve in life.
A similar list of what is important to them in life.
Once they provide you with a list of their aspirations, inform them that this can be taken as a guideline to be used in goal setting. Sit down with them, one on one, and
Convert each aspiration into a goal.
Now, inquisitively ask them, given the current circumstances at what age would you easily achieve each one of these goals?
Start writing each one of those age numbers in front of the corresponding goal.
After applying a bit of practicality, inform them that at this point in life, they believe that they can achieve these goals by this set age. Show them the list of things they consider important in life and tell them, that this list is the reason why you want to achieve these goals to avoid procrastination at those given ages.
#4 Applying it to a Career
Once you have all the above information, sit down with your youngster and show them an assignment of all the related careers associated with their preferences. Weigh the pros and cons of each career. Discuss with them the importance of each profession to society in general and more importantly for them. Inform them of the potential earnings and lifestyle each career can easily afford.
Some careers may have the perks and benefits of travel such as an air-hostess or steward. While other careers may have an extremely high risk involved with the benefit of a very high remuneration such as a fire-fighter. Matching skill with the career can also be a challenging task. Some children might want to apply their creativity to construct architectural designs or woodworking designs. Ask them which of these careers they can see themselves pursuing for a major portion of their life.
#5 Job Satisfaction
It may be confusing discussing job satisfaction at such an early age but the reason to do so is that when that day comes, your youngster will be ready. Instead of becoming an overwhelming and depressing wreck, this professional will know exactly what steps to take. Just by writing down all their priorities and goals once again they can readjust their career assignment to meet their new found concerns and tribulations. A lot of the professions discussed earlier have a very short shelf life.
This basically means that once a person is exhausted of a certain profession, they must make a decision rapidly as to what course of action needs to be taken. On the other hand, they may even enjoy pursuing a certain profession. Fire-fighters and the other professionals, whose job involves helping people, do have some of the highest job satisfaction. Teachers and architects are other professions which also have a very high job satisfaction.
In conclusion I would like to end this article with the words of the great Greek Philosopher Heraclitus who said “πάντα χωρεῖ καὶ οὐδὲν μένει” which means “The only thing constant in life is change.” As humans, we must learn to accept change and meet it head on in all facets of our career and life.
